HOW TO FIX A LASH LIFTING AT THE INNER CORNER
It's 2 p.m. and your inner corner is up. Not dramatically. Just enough to feel it every time you blink. You catch yourself in the window reflection and now you can't unsee it.
Before you panic — you can fix this in under a minute. And you can stop it from happening tomorrow.
WHY THE INNER CORNER GIVES UP FIRST
The inner corner is the most mobile area of the eyelid. It's also where oil from your skin tends to pool, where the lid folds when you squeeze your eye softly, and where your hand goes when you yawn. All of that movement loosens the band from the inside out.
THE 4 MISTAKES CAUSING YOUR INNER CORNER TO LIFT
- Trimming the inner corner too much. When the band is too short, it can't anchor at the innermost point of your eye.
- Applying over eye cream. The skin may feel dry, but any residue makes the band slide.
- Skipping the 10-second press-down. The inner corner needs the most contact time, not the least.
- Over-applying at the outer corner. A heavy grip on the outer side pushes the inner side away from the lid.
HOW TO FIX A SMALL LIFT IN 60 SECONDS
- Wash and dry your hands.
- Gently blot the lifted corner with the back of your fingertip — no pulling.
- Press the band back down along the lash line with your index finger.
- Hold for 10 seconds, then release.
If it lifts again in the same spot, the band may need a tiny trim at the inner edge.
HOW TO PREVENT IT TOMORROW
Change one thing in your routine: start the inner corner press-down first, for 10 seconds. A band that is fully seated against the skin before you move outward will stay down until you take it off.
HOW TO TRIM A LASH SO THE INNER CORNER STAYS DOWN
Cut from the inner edge, not the outer edge, and remove small amounts — 1 mm at a time. The inner corner of the band should end slightly before your natural lash line begins, so it can't flip up.
| Fix | Works for | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Press-down only | Small, fresh lift | 10 seconds |
| Trim inner edge | Lift that keeps returning | 1 minute |
| Clean lash line | Oily skin / sweat | 5 minutes |
Why does my inner corner lift but not the rest?
Because it's the most curved, the most oily, and the most mobile part of the lash line. All three factors work together to push the band away.
Can I fix a lash lift without removing the whole lash?
Yes. Blot, press, and hold for 10 seconds. In most cases the lift is just the band losing contact, not a structural problem with the lash.
Should I trim the inner corner?
Trim it only from the inner edge, 1 mm at a time, until it feels anchored but doesn't poke your inner eye. Don't attempt to cut a curve into the band — that creates a new problem.
NEVER LET THE INNER CORNER WIN
PHANSTA LASHES use a low-profile band that sits flush against the skin — so your inner corner stays put from morning to midnight, without the constant pressing.
