HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR EYE SHAPE IN 30 SECONDS
Your eye shape is the single most important factor in choosing lashes that look natural, flattering, and stay put. Yet most women have never actually identified their eye shape — they're just guessing. In this guide, you'll learn a simple 30-second method to determine your eye shape, understand how it affects lash selection, and discover which lash styles work best for you.
THE 30-SECOND EYE SHAPE TEST
Step 1: Check Your Crease
Look straight into a mirror. If you cannot see a visible crease when your eyes are open, you likely have monolid eyes. If you have a visible crease, look at step 2.
Step 2: Check the Outer Corner
Draw an imaginary line through the inner and outer corners of your eye. If the outer corner sits above the inner corner, you have upturned eyes (also called cat eyes). If the outer corner drops below the inner corner, you have downturned eyes. If they're level with each other, look at step 3.
Step 3: Check Your Lid Space
With your eyes open, look at how much of your eyelid is visible. If very little of your lid is visible when looking straight ahead, you have hooded eyes — the skin from your brow bone drapes over your crease. If your entire lid is clearly visible, look at step 4.
Step 4: Check Proportions
Compare the width of your eye to the distance between your eyes. If your eyes are wider than they are long, you likely have round eyes. If your eyes are longer with an pointed inner and outer corner, you have almond eyes — the most common eye shape. If your eyes are set close together (less than one eye-width apart), you have close-set eyes. If they're far apart (more than one eye-width), you have wide-set eyes. If your eyes appear set deeper into the socket with a more prominent brow bone, you have deep-set eyes.
BEST LASHES FOR EACH EYE SHAPE
Downturned Eyes
Choose flared or winged styles with extra length at the outer corners. This creates a lifting effect that counteracts the downward turn. Read our Downturned Eyes Guide →
Upturned Eyes
Natural or wispy lashes work beautifully with upturned eyes. Avoid extra-long outer corners that exaggerate the lift. Read our Upturned Eyes Guide →
Wide-Set Eyes
Create balance by emphasizing the inner corners with slightly longer lashes. This draws attention inward. Read our Wide-Set Eyes Guide →
Deep-Set Eyes
Longer, curlier lashes help bring deep-set eyes forward. Avoid heavy or thick styles that can overwhelm the socket. Read our Deep-Set Eyes Guide →

Frequently Asked Questions
Are PHANSTA LASHES safe for sensitive eyes?
Yes. PHANSTA LASHES are hypoallergenic, latex-free and fragrance-free, and they apply without liquid adhesive — the most common lash irritant. Patch-test any new product on your inner arm for 24 hours before first use.
How long do PHANSTA LASHES last per wear?
With clean, dry lids at application, PHANSTA LASHES hold comfortably through a full day — including workouts and light rain when you use the waterproof version. Hold depends mostly on clean, dry application.
Can you really reuse PHANSTA LASHES 30+ times?
Yes, when cared for properly. Gently peel them off by lifting from the outer corner, wipe the band with a damp swab after each wear, and store pairs curved-side-up in the tray. Never soak the band in remover.
Do PHANSTA LASHES damage natural lashes?
No — unlike tugging off dried glue, PHANSTA LASHES peel away cleanly without pulling natural hairs. Remove gently by lifting from the outer corner.
How much do PHANSTA LASHES cost?
PHANSTA LASHES are $59 per pair, reusable for 30+ wears — that works out to under $2 per wear over a full month of use.
