WHERE THE MYTH COMES FROM

Lash brands love to advertise “memory fibers” and “24-hour curl.” Those claims are tested in a lab, not in real life. In the real world, humidity softens the band, face oils loosen the adhesive, and natural lash growth pushes the curl down. That’s why a pair can look perfect at 9am and fall flat by 6pm.

WHAT ACTUALLY DETERMINES CURL RETENTION

Your natural lash health. If your own lashes are brittle or straight, no falsie can defy them.
Curl type match. J, B, C, D, L — a pair that’s too curly for your lash type will fight it. A pair that’s not curly enough will look boring but may last longer.
Waterproof mascara. Waterproof locks the curl in place. A creamy mascara is the fastest way to flatten a lash curl.
Band memory. The glue band has to snap back after bending. If it stays loose, the curl dies quickly.

A SIMPLE TEST TO SEE FOR YOURSELF

Wrap the lash around your finger for 3 seconds. Let go. If it snaps back to its original arc, the band has good memory. Then gently mist it with water and do it again. If it still snaps back fast, it can survive sweat and rain. If it becomes floppy, don’t expect a full day of curl.
