Putting the band on your lash line instead of your skin. On monolids, the band should sit slightly above the natural lashes, on the skin of the lid, so it has a flat surface to grip.
Forgetting to press for 10 seconds. Adhesive needs contact time and warmth to bond. Press down with a clean fingertip or tweezers.

Clean your lid with a gentle oil-free cleanser and let it air dry completely.
Swipe a cotton swab with a tiny bit of toner or rubbing alcohol along your lash line to remove excess oil. This is the step that actually makes lashes last through a full workday.
Apply your lash adhesive and wait 30-45 seconds until it's tacky, then press the band onto your skin, holding for 10 full seconds.
