How to Get the Perfect Lash Placement

Perfect lash placement is not about the outer corner. It's about the inner corner. Most people push the lash too close to their nose, and then the end pops up. The fix is a tiny distance change.

THE INNER-CORNER MISTAKE (YOU'RE PROBABLY MAKING)

When I started wearing lashes, I lined them up with my outer lash line and pressed the inner corner too hard. Every pair lifted by noon. I was like you, but worse—I carried lash glue in my purse for touch-ups.

WHERE YOUR LASHES SHOULD ACTUALLY SIT

Place the lash band about 1/16 inch away from your tear duct. It should follow the line where your natural lashes grow. If it overlaps skin, move it. If it touches your inner corner, it will lift.

THE 5-MINUTE PLACEMENT ROUTINE

Measure and trim from the outer corner first.
Apply a thin layer of adhesive to the band.
Wait 15 seconds for the adhesive to become tacky.
Tilt your chin down and look into a mirror.
Press the center first, then the outer corner, then the inner corner.
Do not push down. Let it settle.

What if the lashes are too long?

Always trim from the outer corner, not the inner corner. This keeps the lash gradient balanced.
