How to Stack False Lashes for Extra Drama

HOW TO STACK FALSE LASHES IN 4 STEPS

1. Measure and trim the first pair. Hold it against your eye. Trim from the outer edge so it stops right before your natural lash ends.
2. Apply the base lash. Add a thin line of adhesive, wait 30 seconds until tacky, and press the band right onto your lash line.
3. Cut and prep the second pair. Keep only the outer half of the longer pair. This is the classic trick for an instant cat-eye with no gap.
4. Layer on top. Place the half-lash just above the base band, slightly overlapping the outer corner. Press for 15 seconds, let it dry for 5 minutes, and check the mirror.

THE #1 STACKING MISTAKE (AND HOW TO FIX IT)

The biggest mistake I see is stacking two identical pairs — same length, same band. That gives you a heavy double band, corners that lift, and eyes that feel like they're carrying bricks. Fix it with contrast: your base lash should be the longer, airier pair. The top layer should be the wispier, shorter one. That keeps the band narrow and the eye shape open.

And here's the simplest test: after 20 minutes, look in a mirror. If you see a visible gap, the top lash wasn't pressed close enough. Give both layers a gentle press while looking half-closed into a mirror.
