Start at the inner corner and press outward. Do not start at the middle. Starting at the middle causes the ends to curl up or down. Press the inner corner down first, then the middle, then the outer corner. This sequence respects the natural curve of your eye.

HOW TO FIX A LASH THAT SITS TOO HIGH

You look in the mirror and the lash is floating above your lash line. It looks like it is hovering. This happens when the adhesive has dried too much before application. The fix is simple. Wait less time after applying the adhesive. You want the adhesive to be tacky, not dry. A good rule is to wait 20 seconds. If you wait 30 seconds or more, the adhesive loses its stickiness and the lash will not sit flush. Another fix is to use a lash applicator tool. The tool gives you more control. You can position the lash precisely and hold it for five seconds. This lets the adhesive bond properly to your skin.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A FORGIVING LASH

If your eyes are crooked, you need a lash that is easy to maneuver. Look for a clear band. A clear band is more flexible than a black band. It bends to your eye shape instead of fighting it. Look for a thin band. A thick band creates a hard edge that will not conform. Look for a lash that is slightly longer than you think you need. You can always trim it. It is harder to add length. And finally, choose a lash with a natural taper. This means the lash fibers are shorter at the ends and longer in the middle. This creates a softer edge that blends more easily with your natural lash line.
