WHY STRIP LASHES SCREAM "FAKE"

The answer is almost always the band.

Store-bought strips have a stiff, sometimes shiny band that sits on top of your lash line as one flat slab. Real extensions have each lash attached individually — no line, no seam.

The entire art of making a strip look like extensions is BAND WORK. Not fiber work. Once the band disappears, the fibers are already fine.

THE 5-MINUTE TRIM (DO NOT SKIP THIS)

People never trim. That's 80% of the "fake" problem.

1. Hold the lash against your eye. It should end exactly where your natural lashes end.
2. Trim from the OUTER corner — 3-5mm at a time.
3. Now the pro edit: with tiny scissors, snip small V-shaped notches in the band every 4-5 fibers. This breaks the band's flex and lets it curve with your lash line.
4. Bend the band back and forth 5 times. Yes, really. It softens the band and helps the lash hug your lash line instead of perching like a shelf.

THE UNDER-LASH APPLICATION (CHANGES EVERYTHING)

This is the trick that separates photoshoot makeup from "I just got ready."

Instead of placing the strip lash on TOP of your natural lashes, slide it UNDERNEATH. Press the band into the root of your natural lash line. The natural lashes sit on top — covering the band completely.

The result? Same face, same lash, but suddenly it looks like each individual lash grows from its own follicle.

A well-cared-for strip lash can be reused 15-20 times. Gently peel off the glue with tweezers after each wear, store in the original tray, and avoid mascara on the fibers — mascara shortens their life dramatically.

WHY DOES MY LASH ALWAYS LOOK CROOKED?

Crooked usually means one corner has more glue than the other. Apply glue from the center of the band outward, with the thinnest possible layer at the corners. Let it sit 45 seconds. Then press the middle first, then the inner corner, then the outer.

DO I NEED LASH EXTENSION PRIMER FOR THIS TRICK?
