WHY TWEEZERS MAKE APPLICATION HARDER

Tweezers press on the band in two small points. That pressure makes it easier to miss the lash line, and harder to control the lash's curve. Plus, if your hand jerks, you poke your waterline. That instant watering response ruins your adhesive's tack. Fingers give you a wider, gentler surface that matches the shape of your eye.

THE FINGER APPLICATION PRO TRICK (STEP BY STEP)

1. Wash and dry your hands. Set the lash adhesive to become tacky for 20 seconds.
2. Hold the lash between your thumb and index finger — but not by the band. Hold the lash by the lash fibers, near the center. This keeps the band fully exposed so you can press it exactly against your lash line.
3. Look slightly downward, tilt your head back, and use your free fingers to gently lift your eyelid. Press the middle of the band against your lash line, then press the inner and outer corners seconds later.
4. Pinch the lash gently with your finger and thumb along the whole band, from inner to outer, to fuse it to your natural lashes.

This method gives you direct tactile feedback — you can feel when the band is flush against your skin. Tweezers hide that feeling.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR IF FINGERS AREN'T WORKING

Some lash bands are too thick to grip well with fingers. In that case, I switch to a spatula-style lash applicator (a flat, slim tool you hold like a pencil). Here's what matters:

• A flat, non-slip applicator surface — not a tweezer.
• A thin, flexible band that doesn't fight you, either. Thicker bands are harder to apply no matter the tool.
• Adhesive with a brush that lets you control every millimeter.
