Preparing the Lash Band

Feathery lashes are characterized by distinct, spaced clusters of fibers rather than a continuous strip. This design requires the band to be perfectly sized to the eye. If the band is too long, the outer clusters will extend past the natural lash line, creating an awkward, floating effect. Always trim exclusively from the outer corner to preserve the inner corner's gradient.

• Trim only from the outer corner to maintain the design gradient.
• Bend the band into a U-shape for 10 seconds to soften the cotton.
• Apply a thin, even layer of latex-free adhesive to the band.

The 30-Second Adhesive Rule

The most common error in applying feathery lashes is placing the band while the adhesive is still wet. Wet adhesive causes the lash to slide across the eyelid, misaligning the wispy clusters. You must wait exactly 30 to 45 seconds until the adhesive becomes translucent and tacky. This creates an instant bond that locks the clusters in place.

Aligning Wispy Clusters

Because feathery lashes have gaps between the clusters, the placement must align with the natural gaps in your own lash line.

1. Use tweezers to hold the center of the lash band.
2. Look straight ahead into a mirror and place the center cluster directly over your pupil.
3. Press the outer cluster onto the outer corner of your natural lash line.
4. Secure the inner cluster last, ensuring it sits just beyond the tear duct.
