The Friend Whose Lashes Looked Better at the End of the Toast
Two months before the wedding, at her cousin Megan's bridal shower on the rooftop of a wine bar, Lauren spotted her old college roommate Naomi and did a double take. Every other woman in the room had either smudged liner, a drooping lash corner, or that puffy just-cried look. Naomi's eyes looked as crisp as they had when she walked in, even though she'd been the one crying hardest through the maid of honor's speech.
"They're PHANSTA LASHES," Naomi said. "I put mine on at 8:15 this morning and I've been tearing up off and on for an hour. No glue means nothing turns white or comes loose."
The brand was PHANSTA LASHES, and one set could be reused up to 30 times. Lauren was skeptical, but she ordered a pair that evening.
