STEP BY STEP: HOW TO CLEAN AND STORE REUSABLE LASHES

The $200 Mistake That Changed How I Care for My Lashes

I went to a wedding, didn't clean the glue off my favorite pair properly, and the next morning they were a matted, clumpy mess. Gone. Just like that. If you want your PHANSTA LASHES to last six months or more, you need a system. Here is the exact routine we use in our studio to make every pair look like day one.

Why Cleaning Matters More Than You Think

Bacteria and dried glue are the enemy of longevity. When glue hardens, it creates micro-cracks in the band that cause uneven application the next time. Oil from makeup breaks down the curl of the fibers. A clean lash is a happy, reusable lash.

The 5-Step Lash Spa Routine

  • Step 1: The Gentle Peel. Never pull the lashes apart. Hold the band at the outer corner and slide a cotton swab dipped in oil-free remover along the base. The glue dissolves instantly.
  • Step 2: The Bath. Fill a contact lens case with oil-free micellar water. Soak the lashes for 5 minutes. Oil is the enemy of lash adhesive and shape.
  • Step 3: The Spiraling Scrub. Use a clean, dry spoolie to brush the lashes in a spiral motion. This removes mascara and debris from the base fibers without tangling them.
  • Step 4: The Drying Rack. Place lashes on a clean paper towel, convex side up. Let them air dry completely. Do NOT rub with a towel.
  • Step 5: The Storage Case. Store in the original PHANSTA tray. Never flat. The curl needs to hang vertically to keep its perfect 'C' curve.
