Glitter lashes are a love-to-hate relationship. They photograph beautifully under stage lights, but glitter falls into your eyes when you sweat. Here's the compromise: try a matte lash with a separate glitter liner to apply on top. You get the sparkle without the irritating glitter bits. If you do buy glitter lashes, make sure the glitter is sandwiched between two layers of fiber so it doesn't flake off.

THE 8-HOUR COMFORT TEST (BEFORE YOU BUY)

A lash looks amazing in the package and awful after hour two. The test: hold the band with two fingers and pull gently. If the band stretches even a little, it will eventually lose its shape over your sweat. Then flex it back and forth 10 times. If something cracks, that's a no. Second test: put the lashes on your hand and apply a tiny drop of water. If the fibres clump or shrink, the lashes won't survive a festival sunrise.
