5. Use the sandwich stack. Apply a thinner lash first, then a shorter, fluffier lash slightly on top of it. Two layers at slightly different angles create the exact depth you get from a $150 extension fill.

THE FLUFF-AND-SQUISH TRICK NO TUTORIAL SHOWS

Here's the editor secret. Take your strip lash out of the tray and hold it upside down. With the tips of your tweezers, gently separate every three or four fans. Then push a few individual fibers upward, alternating angles — fluff, lift, fluff, lift. When it looks uneven and messy on the hand, that's exactly when you want it.

Now apply it using the sandwich method, and after it's on, squish the lash and your natural lashes together with two fingers for five seconds.
