Let me tell you what I've learned from years of editing beauty pages and watching way too many 'get ready with me' runs: the same pair of lashes can be the most versatile item in your bag. But only if you choose the right pair.

A capsule makeup collection is a set of products you can mix and match to create your everyday look. Before you add lashes to your capsule, ask three questions:

• Can I wear this with a bare face and a full face? If the lash is too dramatic for breakfast meetings, you'll only use it twice a month.
