• Full, textured fans that cover more surface area.
• Built-in depth without needing multiple coats of mascara.
• Heavier feel if the band is thick — that’s a warning sign.
• Best known for: “that lash lift+extension look.”

HOW TO CHOOSE BY EYE SHAPE

• Almond eyes — Both work. Choose volume if you want drama, wispy if you want harmony.
• Hooded eyes — Go wispy. The gaps in a wispy lash let the lid peek through, making your eye look bigger.
• Round eyes — Volume can open your eyes even wider, but keep the length at 12mm max.
• Monolid eyes — Wispy, placed on the outer half. This elongates and keeps your natural lash line visible.

WISPY VS VOLUME: MYTHS

• “Wispy lashes are always lighter than volume.” Not true. Some volume lashes use super-fine 0.07mm fibers and are actually lighter than a thick wispy lash.
• “Volume always looks fake.” It can look fake if the band is rigid or the length is wrong. A flexible band with 0.15 density gives a natural-looking fringe.
• “You need extensions to get volume.” False. Volume lashes in a strip can deliver the same dense look for 1/20th of the price.
