HOW TO MAKE YOUR FALSE LASHES HOLD A CURL LONGER
I used to think my straight, stubborn lashes were the problem. Every pair of false lashes would look perfect for the first hour, then slowly droop until I looked tired. Sound familiar?
After years of testing, I found out the problem wasn't my lashes. It was my method. Here's the exact routine that finally worked.
WHY YOUR LASHES DROOP
False lashes lose their curl for three reasons: too much product, a weak lash band, or a mismatch between your natural lash curl and the false lash curl. Fix those three, and you'll fix the droop.
THE STEP-BY-STEP METHOD THAT WORKS
- Curl your natural lashes first. This is non-negotiable. Your natural lashes need to point up before you add anything on top.
- Warm up the lash band. Hold it against the back of your hand for 15 seconds. The warmth makes the band more flexible and helps it hug your lash line.
- Apply a thin layer of lash glue and wait 30 seconds. Not 5 seconds. 30. The glue needs to get tacky before it can grip properly.
- Press from the center outward. Place the center first, then press the inner and outer corners. This keeps the curl even.
- Melt the layers together. Gently press your natural lashes and the false lash together with your finger for 10 seconds. They should become one unit.
THE 3-HOUR CHECK
After three hours, check your lashes in a mirror. If they've drooped at all, it's usually because the band wasn't flexible enough or the glue wasn't tacky enough. Those are fixable — but honestly, a good lash shouldn't need a mid-evening fix.
| Method | Hold Time | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Curl + warm band | 12+ hours | Easy |
| Curl only | 4–6 hours | Easy |
| No curl | 1–2 hours | N/A |
| Extra glue layer | 6–8 hours | Medium |
WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A CURL-HOLDING LASH
- A pre-curled band: The band itself should have a curve that matches your eye.
- Lightweight material: Heavier material pulls the curl down over time.
- Good glue compatibility: Not all bands grip the same glue equally. Find a match that holds.
When you get all three right, you stop thinking about your lashes entirely. You just look in the mirror and see wide, awake eyes that stay that way from morning to midnight.
PHANSTA LASHES are made with lightweight, pre-curled bands that hold their shape — so your curl stays put from morning to midnight.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why do my false lashes droop?
Usually because the band is too heavy, the glue wasn't tacky enough, or your natural lashes weren't curled first.
How long should false lashes hold their curl?
A quality lash should hold its curl for 12+ hours with proper application.
Can I reuse lashes that lost their curl?
You can try re-curling them with a clean mascara wand and a little heat, but if the band is bent out of shape, it's time for a new pair.
