How to Wear False Lashes When You Wear Glasses

Yes, you can wear false lashes with glasses. I've done it for years. But wear the wrong style, and every blink hits your lens — that annoying tap-tap-tap that drives you insane by hour two.

The fix isn't giving up lashes. It's choosing the right ones and placing them correctly. You CAN combine lashes and glasses WITHOUT the lens-tapping nightmare. Here are the 4 rules I follow every time.

THE 4 RULES OF LASHES + GLASSES

Rule 1: Stay at 11mm or shorter. Glasses sit about 1cm from your eye. Long lashes physically touch the lens. Push your lash length to 11mm maximum. Trust me — nobody will think they're "too short." They'll just see gorgeous eyes behind your frames.

Rule 2: Curl is your best friend. A straight lash spikes forward into your lens. A curled lash grows upward, away from your glasses. When shopping, look for a visible curl at the base of the band. The effect is 10x more flattering behind lenses.

Rule 3: Choose volume over length. You don't need 14mm lashes to make your eyes pop. Dense, curled fibers at 8–10mm create the same impact without fighting your frames. Think "lifted and open" instead of "long and spiky."

Rule 4: Place the band dead on your lash line. If the band sits even 1mm above your natural lash line, the entire lash pushes forward and hits your glasses. Look straight into a mirror and press the band right into the base of your natural lashes.
